While operating a food blog I sometimes wish I had a platform to talk about other topics, but sometimes if I am creative this can be done. This was the case on February 23, 2026 when there was a segment on the Glenn Beck Show with Luis (Lou) Elizando, a UFO disclosure activist, about the topic of aliens possibly visiting earth.
This is a very interesting topic to me and I will have some fun with it, but I do want to mention the food aspect of it. One of these is that the fiftieth anniversary of the Roswell UFO crash was the occasion that I discovered one of the best New Mexico restaurants I have experienced called Nuthin’ Fancy. The restaurant closed years ago but in researching this write-up I discovered that there may be a reincarnation of the restaurant in Dexter, New Mexico which would be well worth visiting if this is the case.
Another aspect is the thought that we may be in for a whole different type of international food. I have an idea that as advanced as the aliens would be, their cuisine would probably include New Mexico red enchiladas, Oklahoma onion burgers, Neapolitan pizza, Belgian waffles, Thai and Lao food of all kinds, and a Bento box with Alaskan King Salmon. Then after the appetizers we would get the really good stuff.
Glenn Beck’s program brought up the normally taboo subjects of politics and religion. Lou Elizondo mentioned that some people in the upper levels of government believe that UFO’s are real and they are demonic (so I suppose we would not get any of this good food). When I went to the Roswell UFO convention I also attended an off-site presentation by Chuck Missler, a Christian author who believed that UFO’s were in fact real and in fact demonic (although I believe this is a simplification of what he was saying). In 2003 I visited Idaho and went to one of Chuck Missler’s talks there, where he told me in a brief conversation after the talk that he still held to these beliefs.
My Idaho reviews are now old but this is a real foodie state and well worth visiting.
One thing all the UFO researchers point out is that the UFO phenomena became noticeable in the atomic age. The Bible has quite a bit of material that seems to speak about the subject. The Roswell UFO conference was noticeably absent on this subject, but Chuck Missler’s books and tapes cover at least one view that seems to be reasonable. I am pretty sure that over time we will get more answers, at least if we do our own study and are willing to look at any reasonale viewpoints.
